Gordon took a sharp breath in, “As long as she doesn’t mess with you, she’s Mrs. Abernathy. If she does, she’s Ms. Evadne.”

It’s just a name, call her what you want.”

Thaddeus took a deep breath, his eyes darkening. “And I’m not angry. Ms. Evadne has always been like this, hasn’t she?”

Gordon was taken aback. Every time Thaddeus competed with Mrs. Abernathy, he was gritting his teeth. And now, with such a big incident, wasn’t he even angry?

She knew men were very concerned about their dignity, especially a high–ranking man like Thaddeus. He wouldn’t tolerate anyone challenging his authority and making him lose face!

However, the next moment, Thaddeus’s response made her face turn pale instantly.

“You’ve just met her, so you don’t know her yet. Ms. Evadne has always been like this, never taking me seriously.”

Thad, what are you saying?”

“But what’s the big deal? I don’t care.”

Thaddeus coldly turned his gaze to Edith with a hint of displeasure in his eyes, “On the other hand, Ms. Edith, your behavior tonight baffles me.”
