Thaddeus, hand in hand with Evadne, hustled down the grand, deserted corridor. 

They were like two young nobles, disregarding societal constraints, breaking norms and conventions, embarking on a heart–stopping elopement.

“Don’t just look at the box. Open it and see what’s inside.” Thaddeus slowly walked up to her. 

All his attention was focused on her enchanting face. 

Evadne, with anticipation and curiosity, wiped her slightly damp hands on her skirt. 

This endearing gesture was caught by Thaddeus, who was smitten. His blood boiled. 

Carefully, Evadne opened the box. 

A beautiful pink and sky–blue antique cup appeared before her eyes!
