Erica paced nervously in the backyard garden after talking to Evadne on the phone.

“What did you say to my brother just now?” 

Erica felt as if a knife had been pressed against her back but forced herself to remain composed, “I just ran into Mr. Thaddeus and greeted him. He asked me to fetch him a bottle of red wine from the cellar and bring it to his study later.“–
