His hands trembled lightly as he took the bowl of soup Debby handed him.

"Where are Big Brother and Elvis?" Thaddeus asked, his voice hoarse.

"Elvis mentioned he wanted soup. Miss Elsie probably figured out the recipe based on his description," Debby explained, her voice breaking as she fought back tears. "But honestly, Evadne's seafood soup recipe... was taught to her by Elvis himself.

It's not the soup Elvis misses... it's Evadne."

Waves of pain hit Thaddeus hard, almost making it impossible for him to hold the bowl steady.
