"W-What?" She asked with a stutter.

"You heard me honey." Derick said dryly.

She touched her throat. "Do I need to answer that right now?"

"Yes."

She suddenly felt a little chilly. She hugged herself. She also inhaled deeply as if she needs more oxygen to think properly.

She felt him put his jacket around her . She closed her eyes which are under the sleep mask. She sniffed his wonderful scent engulfing his jacket She thought he would wrapped his arms around her too but to her dismay, he seemed to have moved a few steps away from her.

She almost groaned in frustration. She is starting to feel annoyed. He seems to be teasing her. She knows that he can read her like a book so he probably sensed that she is longing for his touch. She decided to just deal with what seems like his ultimatum.

"So if I say no, that means we end everything? No more texts and phone calls?" she asked with a slight frown.

"I hope you won't say no honey." He said in a very cold voice.

She moistened her lips. Of course she couldn't see how his eyes darkened and his hands clenched on his sides.

"I just want to be sure of my feelings for you before we become a real couple, Derick. To be honest , I feel something for you but I don't think it's enough. Besides it is really very difficult if I say yes to be your woman. I want my family and friends to meet my boyfriend but how is that possible if you don't even want to show me your face?"

"I don't want other men around you so I want us to be official. You have to tell them to stay away from you because I won't permit it. I promise honey that I will still woo you even if you say yes to me tonight . You won't regret it. " he said in a calm voice with a hint of sweetness which made her frown . He didn't answer her question.

"Derick, that would only be possible if you let me see your face."

She heard him cursed again which made her sigh. This is one thing about Derick which really confuses her. His mood can easily switch from being sweet to angry. But she has to admit to herself that she finds it fascinating at times . He's an exciting mixture of a bad boy and a lover boy which turns her on. He always smells great and he has a great body. He had given her own body pleasure a few times. She felt her mouth went dry as she remembers how great he is in bed.

GOSH STACEY! You are beginning to sound like a wanton hussy! She scolded herself.

Now she is thinking if she can bear not meeting him again is she won't say yes. From what she heard from him, her doubts about him not being serious with her are slowly fading. The only thing which is holding her back is his real reason for not wanting her to see his face. He didn't directly say what it is. He just said that it will be to their advantage.

She had told him multiple times that she doesn't care how he looks like so he doesn't have to worry about that.

He doesn't want to show his face and he doesn't use his natural voice with her. He always speaks in a throaty voice.

What is he hiding from her?

"Honey.." she heard him call her.

She knows her answer.

She counted one to five. "No." she finally said. She wasn't surprised when he cursed.

"Will you just listen to me first before you become angry again?" she asked him with a heavy frown.

She could hear his shallow breathing. He is probably doing his best to control his temper again.

"I am all ears.." he said chillingly.

He promised himself that if she will say no, he will do his plan B though he hopes that he doesn't have to resort to it. His other plan is a little extreme. But desperate men do desperate things. He is capable of doing everything and anything to make her see, accept and realize that she belongs to him..only to him.

"I am saying no to being your girlfriend now but don't worry because I will not go out on dates with other men. But I keep my stand that until I make sure of what I really feel for you, I won't say yes." she said with finality.

With eyes like slits, he tried to absorb what she said. So far she has proven to him that she can be trusted . He began to trust her when she said she won't take her blindfold off the first time they were together. And if she is not true to her words, she can take off her sleep mask anytime she wants like now. But she hasn't.

You trust her but how about the men around her? You have seen how her good for nothing former boss and that f*cking bastard with tattoo look at her. And what about the other assholes you haven't seen and don't know about ? he asked himself.

He angrily pulled his hair in frustration. "DAMMIT!" he loudly cursed which made Stacey gasped.

" I trust you but I don't trust the men around you!" he said through gritted teeth.

"Derick, I can protect myself...." she began but he interrupted her.
