(Nick)

He frowned in disbelief. He would probably go violent if he wasn't Derick too.

Did she just suggest that me as Nick be her other man? He angrily thought.

He came closer to her. "Are you serious?" he asked, shock evident in his tone.

"Yes. At this point I can't leave my boyfriend for you. So think carefully about it sir. I will just be outside. " Stacey said before walking out.

After she left, still in shock, he went back to his chair.

FUCKING HELL! Could she really do that? Have two boyfriends? Fortunately the other boyfriend she was talking about is also me but what if we are already officially together minus Derick, will she go out with other men? Why did she suggest such a stupid thing?! He asked himself furiously.

He thought he knew her but it seems like he doesn't.

"SHIT!!!"

He got the paper weight on the table which his mother had given him and threw it angrily. It hit the wall and shattered. He grabbed some of his hair and cursed repeatedly out of outrage.

Then he heard knocks . He sighed heavily and just waited for the door to open.

"Sir, the maintenance is here." Cherry said.

" Just tell them to move the desk now and inform Miss Ledesma that I expect her to be here inside when I get back!" he said before rising from his chair. He needs to go out to clear his head.

She was getting her stuff from the table when she saw Nick stormed out of his office. He has a grim expression. He didn't even look at her.

Uh-oh..someone is in a very bad mood. She thought.

She swallowed a smile. There is no way that the high and mighty PTEF will want a woman to be his when she is still with another man. Nick Alcantara doesn't share.

(After half an hour)

She looked around his private office after organizing her desk. For a man with a lot of money, his room is very simple. He doesn't have any pictures of his family which made her wonder why. Then she heard her phone. Derick is calling. She might still be a little annoyed with him but she can't hide the fact that she always misses him.

"Derick?"

"Honey. Good morning." he greeted in that croaky voice of his.

She is now wondering whether he really sounds this way or not. There are many things he wants to hide from her, his looks and probably even his natural voice. What a very mysterious man he is!

She just sighed.

Well that's one of the things she liked about him anyway. Besides, according to him she just has to wait for probably a few more weeks then she will finally see him. That made her smile a little.

"I missed you." she said a little huskily .

She feels happy when she's with him or just by talking with him.

"Really honey?" he asked.

"Yes. I do. I always miss you. And I want you to know that I am wearing the bracelet today." she told him.

"That's good."

She frowned. There's something different about him. He doesn't sound happy talking to her.

"Derick? Is anything wrong?" she asked worriedly.

He is a bit pissed and confused. He can't forget what she said that she will give him, as Nick a chance though she loves Derick. He doesn't know if she meant that. She never told him as Derick that she loves him.

This whole situation which he himself created is driving him mad. He accepts that it's all his fault but he can't totally blame himself for wanting to test her if she will really like him as Derick. She's the perfect woman for him. Beautiful, sexy, independent, honest, unpredictable and sometimes feisty too.

He admits that he is egotistical. He is aware that he is irresistible to women so when she said that she is not attracted to him physically, it hurt his ego big time. And where did that lead him? He is now competing with himself which is very very stupid.

He hates to think that all his hard work and plans will go down the drain if he will let his emotions control him again. He has gone this far as Derick, so he should end this the right way. He needs patience.
