(Stacey)

With her hand on her mouth, she hurriedly stepped back away from them. Nick dragged Jim by the collar and slammed his back on the wall near the female's restroom. He punched the latter's face several times while repeatedly cursing.

"N-Nick!" Jim protested while trying to cover his face.

She called Nick's name but he kept on smacking his friend's face.

"Sir!" Cherry called out .

Heather is behind her with her eyes wide while witnessing what's happening. Stacey has her hand on her chest. Her heart is thumping. She weakly leaned her back on the wall. This is the first time she saw how violent Nick can be when provoked.

(Nick)

He stopped punching Jim's face which is covered with blood but he encircled his throat with his right hand.

"Next time you go near her or worst lay a finger on her, I will fucking throttle you after I beat you!" He threatened. His voice sounds really menacing.

He punched him one more time on the abdomen before shoving him to the ground. He then turned around and his eyes searched for Stacey who looks scared to death in one corner with her back on the wall. He silently cursed while walking to her. She is still in shock and she didn't even react when he held her hand to bring her to his office.

"Lovey!" came Heather's voice.

"Sir!" Cherry called.

He looked sharply at them as if saying not to meddle.

"Call the company doctor to tend to that bastard!" he said to his secretary.

"Lovey.." Heather began to say something but he cut her short.

" Go home!" he said curtly before heading to his office while pulling Stacey with him.

Once inside his office, he locked the door. He cupped Stacey's face.She still looks a little pale.

"Honey? Are you okay?"he asked worriedly.

Her hands went up to the back of Nick's which are on either side of her face.

"I-I'm f-fine.." She said in a small voice. It sounded shaky.

"I'm sorry that you have to see all that. That bastard will never be in the same room with you! I will make sure that he won't come near you! " he said before pulling out his handkerchief from his pocket and wiped her lips firmly but gently.

She just stood there as she stares at his tie. She is avoiding looking at his handsome face because she feels that he is absolutely seething. He just probably doesn't want to scare her more so he is trying hard not to show his emotion.

After wiping her lips, he pulled her towards him. He hugged her while his lips kissed her forehead. Still no reaction from her. She just let him hold her while her hands are on her side.What Jim said kept on playing inside her head.

"I am sure that just like old times, after he got tired of you, he will let me have you. "

"Let go!" With all her force she pushed Nick from her.

"Honey? What's wrong? " He asked and his eyes are full of questions.

"Don't honey me! Will you just stop it?! Stop all this! I don't want to be your girlfriend ever!"

She feels sorry for herself. She is angry, hurt and she wants to hit him but she just turned her back on him. She covered her face with her hands and sobbed.

"Don't you dare touch me!" she angrily said when she felt his hand on her back.

She quickly walked to her desk to sit down and cry. She wants to be far away from him as possible. She hates him. What Jim said really hurts. At the back of her mind and somewhere in her heart, though she hates to admit it, she was hoping that she was different for him.

He paused and gritted his teeth before continuing.

"He had been in deep shit many times and I helped him get out of them because his mother begged me to! If not for her, I won't hire Jim! I treated him like a brother though I never approved of his behavior especially with women! Some of the women I was once with filed a suit against him. And do you want to know why?" he asked. His lips in a thin line.

She has a pretty good idea why but she just shook her head while looking at him with her eyes wide.

"Sexual harassment! We offered them an out-of-court settlement and luckily for Jim, they accepted." he said flatly.

She couldn't help but swallow.

GOSH! Why did I believe that scumbag?--she asked herself.

"I made it clear what I want to all the women I was once with. All of them were of legal age when they agreed to do it with me. They know that for me it was just sex, no strings attached. I am a man with a healthy sexual appetite but as far as I know, I never slept with a woman who is committed to another man. And it isn't my fault if some of them lied about their status. " he said in a cold voice.

The only time that I became an asshole with a woman is when I took your innocence by mistake because I was wrong about you. I really regret doing that until now. I was a dickhead but I really hope that you will forgive me once you learn the truth because at this point, I will move heaven and earth just to make you mine.--he thought.

Stacey closed her eyes for a few seconds. When she opened them again, she almost cried again with what she saw in Nick's eyes.

"I have never told any woman all the things I told you. I never wooed any female before you. I haven't done to anyone everything that I did with you and for you." he confessed.

"Nick.." she called, her voice sounded sorry.

She feels guilty. She shouldn't have listened to Jim. She should have clarified things with Nick first before accusing him.

"It takes a real man to admit how he really feels about a woman.Remember what I told you?Don't judge me base on what you see outside. It's so unfortunate that you believed Jim easily. I guess all my efforts are useless. Now I finally realized that you don't really give a damn about me." he said in an expressionless voice.

Her tears fell down when he closed the door behind him.
