She heard Nick cursed. "I'll call you back honey." he said before he ended the call.

She stomped her right foot in annoyance. He hang up on her because of that woman!

Jealousy is eating her. The people in the whole building where Nick's office is including her know how much Tanya wants Nick for herself.

"B*tch!" she said gnashing her teeth.

She is very much annoyed so she decided to take a shower and go to Eve's but texted Nick first.

To: Nick

I don't need a car. You don't have to go home early because I am going somewhere anyway.

She turned off her phone after sending the message.

She sighed heavily and felt her anger towards him eased a bit when she saw the note on the table next to a plate with a club sandwich.

Eat your yogurt and salad too honey. They're in the fridge.

She smiled but only for a second. She carefully looked at the note. The handwriting seems familiar but then she just shook her head and sighed. She is probably just hungry.

Eve is going grocery shopping and she will tag along.

"Well you made the right decision girlfriend! It's high time you left your mom and stepdad's house! Spare yourself from your evil half-sister's claws!" Eve said while fumbling for her keys in her bag.

" I know." she responded quietly.

"Let's go. I'm glad you came so at least buying groceries will be more fun than usual. Blake even gave me his grocery list. Argh! By the way, where did you sleep last night? I thought you will stay here with me?"

"Hmm.. are you working tonight?" she asked to evade her question.

"Yup around 9! Do you want to come? You can just watch. "

She wants to say yes but Nick is jealous of Blake and she doesn't want any trouble between the two men.

"No not tonight. " she said.

"Blake is also worried about you. I told him you left your uncle John's house last night." Eve said as they got in her car.

Stacey couldn't help smiling. Blake really cares about her.

"I want to see where you are currently staying. I will drop you off there later. "

Stacey chewed the inside of her cheek. She has to tell her friend now because sooner or later she will discover the truth anyway.

"Eve.." she began." I want to tell you something...."

Eve's eyes are on the heavy traffic ahead. Then her phone started ringing.

"Hold on girlfriend, I have to get this call. .Yes?" Eve asked the caller.

That's when Stacey remembered her cellphone She looked at the time, it's past 11 AM. Her phone has been off for 2 hours. She is aware that she is acting like a child when she turned it off but she didn't want to talk to Nick yet. After an hour she will turn it back on.

"Stacey Blake wants to talk to you."

With a slight frown, she took the phone. "Blake?"

"How are you Miss Hotness? What happened last night? I thought you were supposed to have coffee with Eve but you were only together for less than half an hour. I was also surprised that your egotistical boss's friend took her home. " he said with a dry tone.

She chose not to reply. She has a pretty good idea how the cousins would react once they knew that she is living with Nick.

"I didn't have any plan to go out but since you are with Eve, I'll both treat you to lunch .I'll meet you two somewhere. I will bring you home after the meal. See you later Miss Hotness." he said before hanging up.

"Shit!" he said through clenched teeth.

He has been trying to contact Stacey but her number isn't available. He got her message 3 hours ago. He immediately called her but to no avail. He feels that she is mad because she heard Tanya's voice. He had to end the call since he didn't want Tanya to hear his conversation with Stacey .He can't risk it. The other woman might attempt to do something to ruin what he has with his woman. Tanya has been acting like a jealous girlfriend so he had a long talk with her. He asked her what she told Stacey the other day which made the latter upset. He ordered her to leave Stacey alone.

A bad word came out of him again when he read Stacey's text message for the nth time. He knows that she will be defiant about him getting her a car but his mind is made up. He will definitely get her a car whether she likes it or not. He will install a tracking device as usual. He wants to know her whereabouts all the time.

Where the fuck is she?!

Since she said that she won't be home, he asked his secretary to call back one of his clients so he can meet him in an hour. He is hoping that after his meeting, Stacey is already at his unit or he can finally talk to her on the phone. He raked his hand through his hair. He doesn't like this feeling. He is paranoid. He is wondering what she is doing and who she is with.
