chapter 56: Kelly Spends The Weekend At The Cabin novel His Woman to Claim

I was waiting for Kelly to arrive as she was spending the weekend with me. I decided to take a walk and sit for a while and read beside the creek that ran through the property. I laid the blanket out on the ground and sat down and leaned against the tree. I had been reading for a while when I started to hear the whining. I looked around but didn't see anything. It got louder so I stood up and started walking toward the sound. Then I saw it. A wolf pup. It was laying beside its mother. I noticed that she had been shot.

I walked over and gently picked the pup up and carried it back to the blanket. I leaned down and picked up the blanket and book and carried the pup back to the cabin. When I entered the cabin I found a box and placed a towel in it and laid the pup inside. I then went and warmed up some milk and added water to it to thin it out and put it in the box. Soon the pup started drinking the milk. He drank all of it and fell asleep. I put the small bowl on the counter and went to sit on the porch and wait for Kelly.

10 minutes later her car pulled up and stopped in front of the cabin. She got us and said I have some groceries in the back. I helped carry them in while she carried her suitcase. We shut the door and while she took her suitcase up to the room she uses when she is here I started putting the food away. I walked out back to the small porch and started the grill. Then we carried the pork chops and wrapped potatoes out and placed them on the grill. We sat down on the chairs that were there and drank or lemonade. I told her I found a wolf pup and his mother was dead so I brought him home.

He will be good company for you when he grows up. Yes, he will I said. I got that bitch fired. She insisted that she thought Renegade was single. She was a gold digger thinking she could get his claws into him. I saw her at the restaurant today. I don't care. We both know that if we would not have come home when we did he would have fucked her. I know I said but Sammy, I don't want to believe that. Doesn't matter. He cheated what is done is done. He is not having a good time. All his members are pissed at him. They won't talk to him unless they have too and they don't eat with him.

He is not sleeping and his wolf refuses to change until Renegade gets you back. His wolf misses you something bad. I signed and said. I can't go back there. I can't live with a cheater. Been there done that remember? That is how I ended up here. Only thing is I can leave this time. I am carrying the next Alpha and will not leave my child. And my child needs his or her pack members as he or she gets older. I smiled at Sammy and said. I am happy you are staying. You are my best friend and I know that Renegade really loves you. I love him too but I just can't live with him. At least not right now.

Sammy, you do know that the longer you are away from him the meaner he will turn. We will see I said. Maybe he will take a lover who knows. No, he won't. You would feel it and it could kill you or the baby. He won't do that to you. I stood up and checked the food. It was finished we put it on plates and carried them to the table sitting next to the chairs. As we ate we talked about how things are going in town. I think my mate is in town. I thought I smelled my mate but I didn't find him. The scent was very faint. I just missed him. Maybe soon you will find him. Maybe. I sighed and said. Do you think he just moved here or he just joined Renegades pack? I don't know. I heard that Savage was coming home from the army for good. He, Randy, and Renegade grew up together and were best friends. He is the third in command.

Maybe he is your mate. Maybe we will have to wait and see. By the way. You have to attend the welcome home party for him since you are the Luna. I looked at her and said. How long do I have to stay? Until after dinner. Do I have to sit next to Renegade? Afraid so. Fine, I will do my Luna duties but don't expect me to be loving towards him and don't expect me to stay at the house. Tell me the day and time and what to wear and I will be there. Good. I will meet you at the door. Fine.
