I was sitting at my table thinking when I heard the bikes riding in. I saw the door open and in walked my ex VP William. What the hell is he doing here? I watched as he grabbed a beer and walked over sitting down. What do you want William? Oh, I don't know I thought I would drop in and tell you that Sammy is doing fine. She had triplets and she ended up with another idiot. Why are you telling me this? Well out of the three men she has loved you at least did not cheat on her. You just believed that she hurt your sister. What the fuck are you saying?
Her current man was caught with a woman before she could tell him that she was pregnant. She agreed to return to his clubhouse but has refused to sleep in the same bed as him. I also came to tell you that she plans on going to the big event this weekend. Oh, and that your sister is pregnant and you are going to be an uncle. Just say what you came to say besides telling me about Donna. Well, if you played your cards right you might have a second chance with Sammy. But that would include caring for her children. I don't think so. I caused her enough pain. I won't be the one to bring her anymore.
Anyway, Donna wanted to know if your club would be going this weekend. We will be there I said looking at him drinking my beer. Good. I don't want to keep hating you. Wolf you are my woman's brother after all. Don't worry I will not interfere with Sammy and I will not try to force myself on her. She is safe from me. Hell, all I have the right to do is make sure she is safe from every fucking man that comes around her. Like a guardian angel. Whatever, I said standing up. I will let Donna know you will be there. I walked out of the door and got on my bike and rode back home.
After William left I thought about the old me. I might have tried to get Sammy to fall for me again. I can't do that now. I did not have the right. But, I also meant that I would protect her when and if she ever needed me. I refuse to let her be hurt again. I shook my head and finished my beer before walking out the door to finish working on one of my brother's bikes so he would have it this weekend. I lied to William. I had not planned on going but I was now that I knew that Sammy would be there. I just needed to see her even if it was across the room or through the crowd.
I was sorry that she had been cheated on again. She really did not deserve everything she has been put through. But I also meant what I said about keeping her safe. If she ever needed a place to run to she was always welcome here. I would give her the space she needed to make any decisions she needed without anyone attempting to make her do something she didn't want to do. I would provide her with that safety net if she needed it no questions asked.
