Tarquin didn’t bother going up. Instead, he called Elysia, asking her to bring Elijah down.

The moment Elysia heard he was still planning on heading to the preschool, her heart raced with panic. "What are you doing going there?!" she exclaimed.

"Come down!" Tarquin's voice was firm, leaving no room for argument, and with that, he hung up.

Elysia's breathing quickened. What if he went to the preschool and saw Elliot and Evan?
