Elijah, worried that Tarquin might have done something impulsive that could backfire, made a special trip to check on him.

"His mood's been off all day, drowning himself in drink, and we can't seem to stop him."

Elysia panicked, "He's been at the bar all day?"

"Yeah, he called us for a card game during the day and then for drinks in the evening. He hasn't eaten anything all day."

Elysia replied urgently, "I got it! I'm on my way!"

She hung up and immediately called Blossom Blythe, explaining she had to step out and asking her to watch the kids.

Fortunately, Blossom had just come back and was downstairs with the kids, secretly enjoying ice cream.

After making arrangements for the children, Elysia quickly put on her coat and left.

At Blissful Uncle's Bar, everyone sat around the table, all wearing concerned expressions and hardly daring to breathe.
