Her speech caused chaos within the calm atmosphere. All the socialites were taken aback.

“What do you mean by letting him get a share of the commission?” 

Maya pretended to be surprised as she said, “Oh? You all don’t know about it? Rose’s husband works here!” 

The socialites were left in shock. 

“Is it for real? Hahaha!” 

“So, Rose’s husband is a host who works here. Rose, your taste is truly unique!” 

Mockery erupted in all directions. It was becoming clear that Maya had set up this scenario to humiliate Rose. 

Mandy was excited as she asked, “Rose, where’s your husband?” 

She had always been envious of Rose as she was both beautiful and talented, making her the center of attention wherever she went. She couldn’t miss the opportunity to humiliate her. 

She was determined to expose her husband to make the situation even more entertaining. She took her phone and was ready to take a video which will be posted on social media. 

Then, she called the manager and instructed, “Get all your hosts out here!” 

The manager counted on the hosts and replied, “I’m sorry, Miss. They’re all here.” 

“How is that possible?” Maya was holding a glass of wine as she raised her chin. She said condescendingly, “If any of the hosts have been left out, the 

commission we promised just now won’t be valid.” 

“It’s impossible to have left anyone out. Would you like to check the list personally?” 

The manager handed her a list. Maya checked the names with the photos one by one. However, she couldn’t find Rose’s husband. 

Mandy grew impatient as she asked, “Maya, have you found him yet?” 

Maya’s face turned unpleasant. She tossed the list aside and directly asked Rose, “Rose, could it be that your husband has resigned? Well, it makes sense. After all, he can’t continue selling his body in a place like this once he’s married.”

“Who is this person?” the socialites asked in curiosity. 

Maya hadn’t expected Jackson to show up, but it was perfect timing. 

She pretended to ignore his disheveled appearance and proudly introduced him, “This is my boyfriend. He comes from a family–owned business and holds a high position in Finch Group. He’s also highly regarded by Mr. Finch. Jackson, don’t get the wrong idea. I’m just here to hang out with my friends. I won’t be like some people.”
