After he left, Jared got up and went to the bathroom. He got a hot towel and came out to wipe Amber's face and wipe her hands.

He only went to wash up after he had done all this for her.

At seven o'clock the next morning, Jared woke up on time. He lowered his head and kissed Amber on the face. He lifted the quilt and got out of bed. He walked out of the room with light hands and feet.
