“The library was too crowded, so I decided to study in my dorm.”

Chen Hao replied.

“Oh, we should come over earlier next time then. Whoever reaches the library first will reserve a seat for the other, deal?”

After sending out the message, Chen Hao tossed his phone aside.

Indeed, he was trying to avoid Qin Ya. Ever since he dated Su Tongxin, Chen Hao had put in much effort trying to keep a distance from other girls.

After the exam ended, they would start the next semester. There would be a three-month discussion program held at school for Chen Hao’s department.

As for Qin Ya’s department, they would probably look for an internship.

And they would never see each other again.

Qin Ya had contacted Chen Hao every morning in the past two days. She told him that she had reserved him a seat at the library, and that she would wait for him to do their revision together.

While Chen Hao made up different excuses to reject her invitations.

Qin Ya had been trying to ask him out for a meal in order to express her gratitude to him. She knew he would be uneasy around Zhao Tongtong and the other girls. Therefore, there was even once when Qin Ya said that she would be alone in order to convince him to join her.

Still, Chen Hao had turned her down with an excuse.

It was only until three days later did Qin Ya stop contacting him.

It was as though she had vanished into thin air.

Everything felt normal for Chen Hao. Other than studying and doing revision, he would talk about the recent happenings in his life with Su Tongxin. Everything in his life went on as usual.

In the afternoon, Chen Hao went back to school from Li Zhenguo’s place, and stopped by the milk tea shop next to the entrance of the school to get some beverages for Yang Hui and the gang.

“Chen Hao?”

At this moment, a girl’s voice called out his name.

He turned to his back and saw Zhao Tongtong. She was here for the milk tea too. When she laid her eyes on Chen Hao, her face was filled with surprise and annoyance at the same time.

Back then, she would always joke around with Chen Hao every time she bumped into him.

Chen Hao was unfazed by this sudden change. At just the right time, his order was ready. Chen Hao smiled and said, “I will pay for the pretty girl next to me too!”

Zhao Tongtong continued, “Do you know that Qin Ya deliberately woke up twenty minutes earlier than she was supposed to every day, just to get seats at the library. When we asked her why she got up so early, she said that you would do your revision together with us in the future. As it turned out, you didn’t show up even once after the seat had been reserved for you!”

“There was one time she even bought you some fruits after asking you out. According to her, she had invited you to go to the library together. However, you didn’t turn up again!”

“You have stood her up for two days in a row! Moreover, she also tried to buy you a meal. As she was worried that you would not get used to the food outside, she purposely ordered food from the canteen. She stopped us from coming along as she was worried that we might make fun of you.
