Chapter 460 Friends Only

By the time Zane arrived at Maple House, it was almost six o'clock.
He was forty to fifty minutes late.
After quickly finding a place to park the car, Zane hurriedly walked in.
The waiters at Maple House were just the same people, although they took shifts. Few people here did not know Zane.
After all, Zane was also a regular customer here.
Tonight's box seats were booked by Bonnie and Myles.
So as soon as Zane came in, staff greeted him and took him directly to the box upstairs.
When Zane entered, it wasn't too late, because the food was just starting to be served.
There were still many dishes that have not been served.
Yanis was sitting with her back to the door, so the first person to see Zane was Sandy, who was sitting directly opposite Yanis.
"Hey, Mr. Lawrence is here!" Sandy called out.
After hearing Sandy's words, the others also raised their eyes to look at Zane.
Yanis naturally also turned her face to look over.
Zane was still wearing the same clothes he was wearing when he left home this morning, and he didn't look much different.
But Yanis still found the mark on Zane's chest at the first time.
She couldn't describe how she felt. Her eyes lingered on Zane's chest for a few more seconds, then moved away as if nothing had happened. She looked at Zane, and asked softly, "Why have you been busy until now?"
"I met a friend on the way out and had a few words."
After saying this, Zane said hello to Aunt Jillian and the others, then pulled out the chair next to Yanis and sat down.
Immediately after he sat down, Zane came close to Yanis and said in a voice that only two people could hear, "Are you sure you're not hurt today?"
Yanis naturally thought of Lana again.
"No." Her eyes involuntarily fell on Zane's chest again.
The color of the stain on his clothes was not obvious, but the mark was plain for Yanis to see.
It was hard not to notice.
Just like Lana, the woman who provoked Yanis in a dignified manner.
"Zane."
Suddenly Yanis called Zane in a low voice.
Zane said, "What's wrong?"
"Are you hot?" Yanis asked, looking at him.
Zane looked at Yanis with a bewildered expression after hearing Yanis' inquiry, seemingly failing to understand what Yanis meant by asking this question.
Yanis looked at Zane for a few seconds and said softly, "It's a bit stuffy in the compartment. I want to ask you if you want to take off your jacket."
When he heard Yanis say that, Zane hummed and took off his jacket.
The waiter standing at the back of the room was very perceptive and reached forward to take Zane's jacket, then turned around and hung it on a hanger.
After not seeing the faint mark, Yanis seemed satisfied, and only then did she take her eyes off Zane's chest.
Stella was sitting next to Yanis, and what Yanis said and did just now easily attracted her attention.
It was obvious that they all fell in Stella's eyes.
When Zane was talking to Brandon, Stella approached Yanis and asked her in a lowered voice, "What kind of look did you just give him? Are you going to eat him in front of so many of us?"
Yanis coughed lightly after hearing Stella's words, "No."
Stella lightly hummed, "That look in your eyes just now is too straightforward. If we were not here, you would have jump at him and kiss him, right?"
Having heard Stella said that, the tip of Yanis's ear turned a little red. "Stella, drink more water."
Stella looked at Yanis' red ear tips and laughed, "Okay, okay, I'll drink more water."
The meal was very pleasant.
After all, there was a flight tomorrow, so after eating, they chatted for a while and then parted.
Yanis and Bonnie had previously bought a lot of things for Aunt Jillian, but were afraid that it would be inconvenient for her to being on a flight, so they had sent those things back to Viteto in advance.
So when Jillian went back tomorrow, she just need to get on the plane.
They said goodbye to each other at the door and went home separately.
Yanis, Zane, Bonnie and Myles were the last to go.
After paying the bill, Myles came out and looked at the three people standing at the door. "What's the matter? You guys look like you want another round?"
When Myles said this, Bonnie looked at him. "Where do you want to go to be happy? I'll take you there?"
Myles coughed lightly, "No, I'm just saying, I see Mr. Lawrence wants to go to have a good time, we should not be play gooseberries."
Bonnie listened to Myles, glanced at Zane's face, and then nodded, "I think so."
After that Bonnie looked at Yanis, "So we're going back first?"
Yanis nodded, "Drive slowly."
After Bonnie and Myles left, Zane reached out and took Yanis by the hand and walked in the direction of the parking lot.
Yanis followed Zane, her eyes falling on their two holding hands together.
"Zane."
"Hmm?"
"Tonight..."
Yanis' words were not finished yet, Zane's voice sounded first, "Get in the car and talk about it."
Yanis' words came to her mouth and she swallowed them again.
Zane went to the car, opened the passenger door and let Yanis get in first.
Then he raised his hand to close the door and walked around to the side to get into the driver's seat.
"You've been staring at my chest a couple of times tonight." Zane said, dropping the jacket he was carrying in his hand on the back seat. "I accidentally spilled coffee on my body and couldn't change it, so I simply cleaned it up."
Yanis listened to him and didn't know how to answer for a while.
But Zane did not give her a chance to answer, saying, "I met Lana in the evening. The Griffiths wanted to ask me for help. The Griffiths have a good relationship with the Lawrence family. Uncle Griffiths has been friends with Dad for years, so I couldn't say no."
"I've known her since I was a kid, but only as a friend."
Zane's words were to the point.
Yanis naturally understood.
Just thinking of Lana, Yanis thought to herself, Zane treats Lana as a friend, but Lana doesn't want to be just friends with Zane, right?
However, Yanis did not say this again in front of Zane.
After he finished, Yanis softly mumbled, "I know."
Zane looked at her for a few seconds, suddenly came close to her and sniffed at her body, "Yanis, you smell like jealousy, let me help you get rid of it?"
Before Yanis had a chance to say anything, Zane's kiss fell.
From the brow to the nose, and finally landed on the lips...
The long kiss drew to a close.
Zane raised his hand and gently rubbed it on Yanis's head, "Now that there is no smell of jealousy, can we go home?"
Yanis blushed uncontrollably and looked away from the window, where Zane's face could be seen on the glass.
