Chapter 540 I don't want to see you at all now
Zane always wanted to see Yanis, but none of them agreed.
Even Anika advised Zane not to go see Yanis for the time being.
They all thought that no matter what, they had to let Zane go to Yanis first to make a statement, but just now, looking at Yanis' attitude, even if Zane went, it would only stimulate Yanis and would not play any role.
Catherine and Edison stayed in the hospital for a while and went back first.
Miller remained in Zane's room.
Albi was also arranged by Zane back to the company, to deal with the Griffiths family some cooperation, has been some of the company's business.
It was the usual rainy day in Manches City.
It was so foggy outside that it was hard to see anything.
Zane got out of bed and stood by the window, looking out at the drizzle, his brow furrowed.
"Dad, I want to go see her."
This was the fifth time in a short period of time that Zane had said such words.
Miller raised his eyes to Zane after hearing his words, and the expression on his face was more of a helpless one, "Are you sure you want to go over there now?"
Zane said, "I'm afraid if I don't go over there now, it will be very difficult to see her later."
Miller sighed again, "Go ahead, if ..."
"I know, I won't force her."
Without waiting for Miller to finish his sentence, Zane interrupted Miller before he spoke up.
Miller nodded, "You go ahead."
Zane said, "You go ahead." Zane turned around and walked out of the room.
When he got to the door of Yanis' room, Zane was still a little nervous.
He raised and lowered his hand several times, but did not have the courage to push open the door in front of him.
"Now you know you're nervous and scared? What have you been doing?"
When Zane once again withdrew his raised hand, a sarcastic voice came from behind him.
Hearing this voice, Zane turned around and looked over.
When he saw that the person standing behind him with the lunch box was Stella, Zane's eyebrows twitched slightly and he moved two steps to the side without a trace, "Yanis, how is she now?"
Stella looked at Zane, her tone was not good, "Nothing seems to be wrong, but I'm afraid only she knows what's going on in her heart."
Zane listened to Stella's words, his heart felt like a huge stone was pressing down on him, and he couldn't breathe.
"Do you want to go in?" Stella looked at Zane standing in the doorway and asked.
Zane hesitated for a moment before he nodded and took two steps in front of Stella, "I'll bring it in for her."
Stella didn't refuse and handed the lunchbox in her hand to Zane, "I'll be right at the door."
Zane hmphed, "Thanks."
Stella gave him a look, but didn't say anything after all.
When Zane took the lunchbox and pushed the door open, Yanis was sitting on the edge of the bed with his back to the door.
The back looked forlorn and thin, and it was heartbreaking to watch.
Zane couldn't help but lighten his steps.
Just as Zane reached the bedside, Yanis suddenly turned around, "Stella, I ..."
Yanis face changed instantly when she turned to see that the person standing behind her was not Stella but Zane.
A very obvious change.
Zane watched the change of expression on Yanis face and couldn't help but breathe.
The two people just stared at each other silently.
No one opened his mouth to speak.
Yanis looked at Zane, who was standing close to him, and cautiously, for a while could not say what kind of feeling he had.
It was Zane who finally broke the oppressive atmosphere by speaking out first.
"Yanis, let's eat something first." Zane tried to make himself look less flustered.
Just as he opened the lunch box, he heard Yanis' voice without much emotion, "I don't want to see you right now."
At the sound of his voice, Zane's hand movement stalled.
Then Yanis' voice rang out again, "There is no reason, I don't want to see you at all."
Zane was so angry that he put the lunch box on the bedside table, "Yanis, can you eat your food first?"
"Zane!" Yanis' tone instantly sank down.
Zane met Yanis' eyes, and his heart felt like it had been plucked out by something fierce, painful and suffocating.
"Okay."
In the end Zane still compromised, "Then you eat your meal while it's hot, I'm going out now."
Yanis didn't say anything, just looked at him faintly.
Zane turned around and walked towards the door, looking back at Yanis as he went.
After taking a few steps, Zane stopped and looked at Yanis sitting on the edge of the bed and called out in a dumb voice, "Yanis."
Yanis did not give Zane any response.
Zane didn't mind, he just said very softly, "Yanis, I'm sorry."
"Get out!"
After Yanis said this, Zane did not dare to stay longer, turned around and walked out of the ward, covering the door of the ward very lightly.
Outside the door.
Stella leaned against the wall and was texting Sandy, before the message was edited, Zane, who had just entered the room for not even three minutes, came out of Yanis' ward.
Stella put away her phone and looked at Zane, "So soon?"
Zane didn't say much else, just said, "You go in and tell her to eat her meal while it's still hot."
After a pause, he looked at Stella again and said, "Please take care of Yanis."
Stella hmmed, "You ... go back to your ward too."
Zane nodded, but stood by the door without moving.
Stella also did not say anything else, turned and went into the ward, closing the door.
Yanis was still sitting on the bed when Stella entered, and only when she saw Stella enter did Yanis move, "What were you doing?"
Stella responded, "So what, I went to the bathroom ..."
"It's in here."
Stella was so blocked by Yanis did not know what to say.
"Yanis, I ... I won't let him in next time! I promise!"
Yanis looked at Stella so serious, gently shook his head, "It's okay."
Stella also hurriedly digressed, "Hurry up and eat something while it's hot, the doctor said these are okay for you to eat."
Yanis hmmm, reached out and took the lunch box on the bedside table from the side, and ate it.
Stella sat quietly on the side and finished editing and sending the message to Sandy that she had not finished editing just now.
After that, she put away her phone and sat beside Yanis.
"Yanis, did Mr. Lawrence explain to you what happened last night?"
Yanis heard Stella's words, the movement of his hands stalled, then whispered, "It's not important."
Stella nodded, "It is indeed unimportant, just get your body well now and don't think about the rest for now."
Yanis hmmed, bowed her head and continued eating.
Stella didn't say anything else either.
...
The cemetery outside of Manches City.
There were not many people who came to see Isabel off.
There were only a few people scattered around.
Myles followed behind Bonnie.
Then came Wendy, Sandy, Haider, and Ivan and Iris.
The Cooke family side is only Thomas family.
There were no other people outside of these people.
After Isabel's burial, Bonnie saluted and stood with Freddy at the headstone for a while.
"Go back."
Freddy whispered.
Bonnie hmmed, "Let's go."
Both father and daughter walked simultaneously in the direction of the outside parking.
