Falcon looked regretful. He sighed and said, “Maybe it was both. I also might’ve been too greedy and wanted my old boss’s approval. Whatever it is, I’ve turned my back on the Nidhoggs. H-Hey, I don’t want to talk about it anymore.”
Bonnie noticed his sincerity, but it made no difference. After all, he had betrayed her and caused tremendous losses for her organization. Still, she refused to show him mercy, knowing he should have expected her to retaliate when he stole her chip.
Meanwhile, Falcon handed Bonnie the crushed herbs, saying, “Here, cover your wound with this. It’ll stop the bleeding.”
She quickly took the herbs and thanked him, “I appreciate it.”
Falcon was worried she would think he was unwilling to help, so he explained, “I wanted to put it on for you, but I know you’re a clean freak and don’t like people touching you. Go ahead and tend to your wound. I’ll help you if you need it.”
Bonnie had made up an excuse to stop Falcon from tending to her wound earlier. After all, she was only disguised as a man. Falcon would have found something out if she let him help her.
She applied the herbs to her wound, saying, “Your injury is pretty bad, too. You should put some of this on to prevent it from getting infected.”
“You’re right. I’ll go and get myself more herbs.” Falcon quickly left.
Collin also did not expect Bonnie to drag Falcon with her. Even so, Collin knew she would only do something like that if she were confident in succeeding.
‘Bonnie must’ve considered every possibility before doing that. Still, her arm is bleeding, and I can’t help but worry. Whatever, I can’t do anything about it now.’
Collin looked at Yasmine comfortingly, saying, “Mr. Boyd knows what he’s doing. You don’t have to worry.”
Even so, he felt awful. He did not want to say anything, but Yasmine looked genuinely concerned for Bonnie. Ultimately, Collin thought he did the right thing by comforting Yasmine.
