Collin hurriedly waved when he saw Bonnie’s doubtful gaze. He explained, “I-I said nothing like that, Chief! I know Pyralis is a key factor in keeping your real identity hidden. I’m not foolish enough to tell Yasmine something like that.”

“Then, what happened?” Bonnie squinted, looking imposing.

Although Collin did not expose her secret, he still felt intimidated. “V-Vic told Yasmine about it.”

Bonnie recalled what she had told Ivor. “I just mentioned it to him when we were chatting. I didn’t think he’d be so nosy and tell Yasmine.”

“Vic is Yasmine’s boss, after all. He noticed how obsessed she was with you. Of course, he’d let some information slip.” Collin thought that was an expected outcome.

Bonnie helplessly sighed and said, “Forget about it. There’s nothing I can do now that he told her about it. Either way, I’ll be leaving in two days. Whatever he told Yasmine won’t affect my trip home.”

Collin asked curiously, “How will you deal with Yasmine?”

Since Yasmine was unusually obsessed with Bonnie, the former might not give up if Bonnie failed to handle the situation appropriately.

Bonnie looked at Collin in puzzlement, “How will I deal with her? I never considered that.”

Collin told Bonnie about his concern, “Why? Considering how she acted, she might chase you to Pyralis if you leave without talking to her.”

Collin shrugged and added, “It’d be great if I were as charismatic as you, Chief. That way, I won’t have to worry about staying single for the rest of my life.”

Although he thought Bonnie sounded like she was boasting, Collin knew she felt genuinely troubled with Yasmine. After all, Yasmine was not the only person trying to win Bonnie’s heart.

She felt a headache and massaged her temples again, saying, “That’s because you’re not looking for a partner. Stop blaming your lack of charisma. Nonetheless, I want to give closure to Yasmine, or I won’t be able to rest, even if I’m back home.”

Bonnie had used too much effort to keep Yale a secret from Ivor. It would all be for naught if he found out because she failed to handle Yasmine properly.
