Chapter 104 Question

Lauren was glad that she learned about Benjamin's plan from Patrick, so she could immediately think of a way to deal with Harper. For Lauren, it didn't matter whether Benjamin's voice message was true or not. The point was whether Harper believed it.

At about half past six, Benjamin drove back to Pineview Villa.

He went upstairs to find Harper, who was sitting in a daze before the floor-to-ceiling window. He whispered, "Harper, shall we go back to the Martin Manor for dinner tonight?"

"I don't want to go," Harper replied, her face showing no emotion.

Looking at her unhappy expression, Benjamin asked with a slight frown, "Is something bothering you?"

Naturally, she didn't answer. She raised her head, looked into his eyes, and asked, "Benjamin, why did you suddenly go public with our marriage? Is it really because you couldn't bear to see me be judged?"

"Harper, do you know what you mean?"

Benjamin looked at her for a while. His expression was solemn, but his tone was gentle.

Harper said evenly, "It doesn't mean anything. I'm just a little curious. Can you tell me about it?"

"What do you think it is?" Benjamin said.

"I don't know. After all, who can guess what you are thinking?"

"Are you unable to guess, or do you just not want to guess?" Benjamin looked at the time on his watch. Seeing that Harper did not intend to answer, he said gently, "It's okay if you don't want to answer. Now, let's go downstairs. I told Grandpa that we would go back for dinner. He wants us to visit him together. Do you want him to be disappointed?"

Benjamin knew Harper's weakness and easily persuaded her.

After all, she cared about Paul the most.

She glanced at Benjamin. For a moment, she wanted to question him.

But what was the point of getting the answer?

Harper sneered silently and glanced at him expressionlessly. "You go down first. I need to get changed."

"I think it's Lauren."

She said Lauren's name straightforwardly and calmly.

Benjamin asked, "Do you have any evidence?"

"Benjamin, I can't think of anyone else besides her."

"We'll know when we find out," Benjamin replied with a gentle expression.

Harper smiled, but the smile wasn't from her heart. She said indifferently, "Benjamin, with the Martin Group's ability, will it take two days if you want to find out something?"

"What's your point?" Benjamin asked.

"Have you ever checked on Lauren? Have you ever suspected that she did this?"

Harper raised her eyes and stared at him.
