Chapter 121 Making Trouble

Harper grew indifferent and fell silent. Afterward, she rose from her seat, ready to retreat to her room, leaving Benjamin to his own devices.

But before Harper could even take a step forward, her wrist was grabbed directly. He murmured, "Harper, we are husband and wife, so I own half of the apartment."

Harper was helpless and said, "Benjamin, be reasonable! I rented this place with my own money."

"Harper, do you hate me? Why are you so anxious to get a divorce?"

His voice was low and hoarse.

Harper paused briefly, motionless. Her heart skipped a beat as if stirred by something. She felt an indescribable feeling.

She thought, "How could I hate him?

Fearing that I wouldn't be able to hate him, I chose the most suitable time to leave.

But why isn't he willing to divorce?

He is the one who asked for a divorce."

Harper tried her best to restrain herself.

Her silence caused Benjamin to draw her into his arms.

It was so sudden that Harper was caught off guard. Upon realizing this, she subconsciously reached out her other hand to cover her abdomen and then struggled. "Benjamin, what do you want from me?"

He embraced her tightly, unwilling to release her. People in inebriation usually had more muscular strength. Harper ultimately relented.

Benjamin asked calmly, "Answer me, do you hate me?"

"No."

"You're lying."

Benjamin didn't say anything, but his breath echoed in her ears, its warmth causing her to tremble all over as it brushed against her skin.

Harper wanted to keep her distance from him, but he got closer and closer, leaving her with no way to escape.

After a long time, he murmured, "I want to take a bath. Prepare the water for me."

Harper didn't move, but he kept making trouble. Reluctant to prolong the situation, she could only nod and agree.

But Benjamin refused to free her, and their fingers remained interlocked as she led him to the bathroom.

Harper turned on the shower, filling the bathtub with water, and placed the shower gel and a clean towel within his reach before turning back to look at him.

He gazed at her intently. With his short hair, he exuded an enigmatic tenderness. His handsome face boasted finely chiseled features and outlines.

Their eyes locked. Harper was the first to look away. She said, "The water is ready. Bathe yourself. I'm outside. Call me if you need anything."

Then, she pulled away her hand and planned to leave, but with a look of dissatisfaction, Benjamin whispered, "Help me."
