Chapter 13 Investigation

Harper's gaze was vacant. She looked outside the window and heard Benjamin's gentle voice. "Don't overthink. I promise they will like you. Take good care of yourself, and just leave the rest to me, okay?"

After a while, Benjamin hung up the phone.

Harper said calmly, "Tell Lauren I won't cling to you. I'll try to persuade Paul to agree to our divorce. Actually, I am even more anxious than you."

Harper was pregnant. She had put the divorce off long enough, and Benjamin would know about her pregnancy one day.

Benjamin frowned. He turned to look at Harper, saying, "Lauren just asked about that casually. You don't have to be so angry. No matter whether we are divorced or not, you can come to me for anything in the future. That's my commitment to you."

Harper was calm. "I'm not angry. This is not worth getting angry over."

Benjamin asked, "Are you really in a mad hurry to divorce me?"

"Isn't it the same for you?" Harper responded indifferently, looking out of the window.

Benjamin looked at her beautiful side face. "Since you are in such a hurry, why didn't you mention it before?"

Harper paused for a moment. She pressed her lips, pretending to be indifferent. "No reason."

If she could find out the reason, she would immediately figure out why she fell in love with Benjamin.

Benjamin didn't ask any more questions. He glanced at his wristwatch and said, "Go to the hospital with me, and then I'll ask the driver to drive you back."

"No. Drop me here." Harper hurriedly refused.

Benjamin explained, "This road is close to the hospital, and we are just on the way. I didn't mean anything. If you mind, I'll have you back first."

"Don't bother. I can take a taxi back. Lauren is still waiting for you. You'd better go to the hospital to accompany her as soon as possible."

Probably no woman would push her husband to another woman like Harper did. But she had no choice.

Harper and Frank discussed for nearly two and a half hours. Frank said, "Don't worry. Everything will be okay. The drawing is original, so we have nothing to fear."

Harper gave a soft hum but did not reveal her uneasiness.

In the architecture and design circles, once someone was labeled as plagiarism, whether it was true or false was no longer important.

Frank added, "I'll contact the staff of that company to find some information. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. No matter what happens, just know I'm here for you."

"Thank you, Frank." Harper nodded.

"Not mention it."

Harper smiled and changed the topic. "In addition, we also need to investigate our company's staff."

"Do you suspect there is a mole?" Frank seemed a little surprised.
