Chapter 170 Let's Talk

Benjamin frowned and said indifferently, "Excluding the journey on the road and the time to wash up, it has been less than an hour since you came back. Is she really slept?"

"Mr. Martin, do you think I'm lying to you?" Annie frowned and said calmly, "Even if so, you should keep a distance from her since you are getting divorced."

When Benjamin heard the word "divorce", his handsome face instantly became gloomy and cold.

He stared at Annie and said indifferently, "This is a matter between me and her. The divorce was only unilaterally proposed by her, and I did not agree."

"Since you have already met Lauren's parents, isn't that a bit illegal? By the way, Harper also can have a boyfriend if she wants to."

Benjamin narrowed his eyes slightly and stared at Annie coldly.

Annie said calmly, "I'm just telling the truth. You won't get angry, right?"

"Either you ask Harper to come out, or I go in."

"I told you that Harper is taking a shower. You'd better leave."

"Are you her friend?"

Benjamin stared at her indifferently, thinking she was too noisy. Her eloquence bothered him.

He thought in his heart that he must make Harper keep some distance from Annie in case she learned something awful.

Annie naturally didn't know what he was thinking at the moment. She just nodded and said in a flat tone, "Harper and I are best friends. Can you leave now? It's getting late. I still have to introduce her some new boyfriend. After all, you are about to get divorced."

Every word of her sentences was mocking Benjamin, and Annie had no intention of restraining herself.

Benjamin frowned and glanced at Annie subconsciously. "Come out. Let's go downstairs to talk."

"Do you want to chat about what I saw at the entrance of the restaurant when you were beside Lauren?" She smiled and said in a detached tone, "If so, then there is no need to talk about it. After all, it is between you and Lauren."

"Harper," he frowned and said in a low and hoarse voice, "I said, come out, let's talk."

Harper didn't say anything.

Seeing this, Annie said, "Mr. Martin, Harper has already said that she doesn't want to talk. Do you still want to force her? Don't you know that what you have done has violated a husband's bottom line? If I were you, I would hide now and not appear in front of her anymore."

Harper pulled Annie's hand to signal her not to continue.

Benjamin stared at Harper and asked, "Is that what you mean too?"
