She paused for a moment and then said somewhat confusedly, "I said, Annie is my best friend."

"So she's more important than anyone else?" he questioned.

"Don't forget, we're not divorced yet." His reminder made Harper furrow her brow.

Harper followed up with his question. "Benjamin, do you mean that I haven't fulfilled my duties as a wife?"

Benjamin didn't speak.

She smiled and said, "Even if I tried to stop you from seeing those women, would you listen to me? You won't. So why should I do something that annoys you?"

"So, to not annoy me, you just let it happen? Even if I sleep with other women, can you accept it? Or, if I ask you to personally deliver condoms to me, would you agree?"
