Chapter 258 Threaten Him With Death

Lauren quickly explained, "No. I'm just too scared. Benjamin, I'm afraid something will happen to my mom, and I'm also afraid of the hospital's quiet atmosphere. Can you come and stay with me?"

"If I disagree, will you threaten me with death?" Benjamin asked.

"No. I just..."

"Lauren, if you want to find a heart match for your mom as soon as possible, listen to me. I'll ask Curtis to go. Tell him if you need anything," Benjamin said.

Then, he hung up the phone and put it down expressionlessly.

Harper came out of the bathroom a few seconds later.

The two looked at each other in silence. Harper walked to the bed and sat down, then lifted the blanket and lay down.

Benjamin looked at her. Seeing her impassive expression, he didn't say anything further.

Benjamin messaged Curtis, asking him to go to the hospital, and then prepared to go to sleep.

Just when they were about to fall asleep, Benjamin's phone rang again.

It was Curtis calling.

Curtis said in a low voice, "Mr. Martin, Ms. Davis stands on the hospital rooftop and refuses to come down. She said she would jump if you didn't come."

With a stern face, Benjamin said coldly, "Find a way to take her down."

"Mr. Martin, Ms. Davis is too stubborn and won't let me get close."

"So, you think I have superpowers and can control her mind?"

Benjamin sounded grim.

Curtis was very helpless. Just when he didn't know what to do, Lauren shouted, "Curtis, tell Benjamin, if he doesn't come, I will jump. I should have died a year ago. I wish that I could die then. At least in that case, he will always remember me."

All this came from Benjamin.

When Benjamin arrived at the hospital, Curtis had taken Lauren back to the ward.

Curtis lied to her that Benjamin would come over soon, so Lauren was willing to come down from the rooftop.

Sitting on the bed, Lauren asked Curtis, "When will Benjamin come? It's been over 10 minutes. Why hasn't he arrived yet?"

"Ms. Davis, it takes time," Curtis responded.

But Lauren was very anxious. "Can you call him now and ask where he is?"

Curtis frowned and glanced at Lauren displeasedly. He didn't listen to her.

Seeing that he didn't respond, Lauren asked, "Didn't you hear me? Call him now."

"Ms. Davis, you got to be patient."
