Chapter 325 A Question

Harper's reply suddenly silenced everyone.

It was so quiet that their breath was audible. No one spoke. Everyone subconsciously looked at Harper, but she did not care much with a cold face.

After nearly half a minute, Benjamin said, "Now that she has made her decision, you shouldn't push her."

"Benjamin."

Lily frowned, but before she could finish her words, Benjamin interrupted her, "Eleanor, chat with my mom now. I have some work to attend to and can't accompany you."

"Okay, go ahead," Eleanor quickly replied. She could also sense the tension between Benjamin and Harper.

After Benjamin left, Lily asked Harper in a low voice, "Harper, did Benjamin annoy you? Tell me, I will discipline him. You can't be sulky now. Feel free to express yourself. Don't worry. We are all on your side unconditionally!"

Harper smiled slightly.

She explained, "Lily, you misunderstood. I'm not angry with him. Maybe it is just a disagreement!"

"Really?"

"Yes."

Although Harper repeatedly assured her that nothing was wrong, Lily still didn't believe it. If the relationship between Harper and Benjamin was harmonious, she could notice it at a glance. However, the displeasure between them was evident.

Lily failed to get any clues from Harper and thus had to go to Benjamin. When she left, Eleanor immediately asked, "Harper, tell me the truth, what happened between you and Benjamin?"

Harper smiled, "Grandma, we are really alright. Don't worry. We just have differences of opinion because of work."

"Is it true?"

"No. I'm curious and afraid my idea is wrong."

"Nothing can be defined 100% in terms of right or wrong. It depends on how an individual chooses. As long as you don't regret it."

Eleanor was consistently open-minded and never interfered in the decision-making of her juniors. Her advice was always to stay true to oneself.

A smile appeared on Harper's face, but she was torn.

She even felt like a scumbag, planning to disown Benjamin after taking advantage of his many favors.

She couldn't help but laugh out loud. Eleanor looked at her in confusion. "What are you laughing at?"

"I'm laughing at myself." Harper laughed at herself for her indecision.​
