Harper was so absorbed that she didn't hear any sound until he embraced her, and only then did she react.

Furrowing her brows, she sniffed and asked, "Did you go to the hospital?"

He casually remarked, "Did you put a monitor on me?"

Lauren deliberately blocked her way, lightly raising her eyebrows and smiling faintly, "Harper, your grandmother is in the hospital receiving treatment now. Shouldn't you thank me? If I hadn't told you, you probably wouldn't know by now!"

Harper narrowed her eyes and stopped walking. She looked up at her calmly. Half of what she said was right, and the other half was wrong.

Exactly, she did inform Harper about Mrs. Eleanor's illness, but was it really just to let Harper know that Mrs. Eleanor didn't want treatment? Of course not. Harper understood Lauren's intentions very well. She did it to sow discord between Harper and Benjamin.

Lauren fell silent for a moment and then said lightly, "Harper, I didn't come to talk about these things with you today. I know your grandmother needs a heart transplant. You probably don't know that Benjamin did the matching last night, right? The heart suitable for your grandmother is in my possession. Do you want it?"
