"Lauren, are you threatening me?"

"Yes, I am."

Lauren squinted her eyes. Her innocent appearance should have exuded gentleness, but at this moment, there was a hint of ferocity, making it uncomfortable to look directly at her.

The voice on the other end of the phone was calm and warm. "I've said it before, our affairs have nothing to do with Harper. Don't involve innocent people just to solidify your position in Benjamin's heart. Doing so will only make him more and more disgusted with you."

"Enough, I don't need you to lecture me. Just tell me when Harper and Benjamin will have a falling out and get divorced. If I don't marry into the Martin Group, do you think we can get everything from them?"

"Lauren, I've said that we're not to discuss anything related to the Martin Group over the phone. Do you want leaks to occur before everything is finalized?"

Lauren immediately responded with an "okay," but she felt he was being overly cautious.

Lauren was getting impatient.

She then asked, "When do you plan to take action?"

The other party didn't give a precise answer, just saying, "Soon."

Lauren didn't press further. After ending the call, she resumed preparing for her concert.

She clenched her hands tightly. As the elevator doors opened, they walked out, one after the other. She turned left, and he went right.

Standing at the door of Mrs. Eleanor's apartment, she took out her keys to open the door. Just as she lifted her foot to enter, a sudden force enveloped her, pulling her into an embrace. Then warm lips pressed against hers.

Harper opened her eyes and saw his handsome face inches away, with a hint of dissatisfaction between his eyebrows.

Harper didn't move because she was afraid of hurting the baby. So she could only wait until he had kissed her enough, and then the hand around her waist gradually loosened.
