Chapter 362 You're My Wife

Her composure surprised Benjamin. Upon hearing about the incident, he immediately dropped his work and rushed over, concerned she might be upset or stressed. But Harper seemed to handle it well.

Benjamin gently pinched her cheek, murmuring, "I've had Curtis rearrange the order for the stage. You're scheduled to go on later, so take your time and prepare well."

As they conversed, the computer expert brought by Curtis arrived.

After nearly half an hour of restoration, the formatted files were recovered without any damage to the designs.

Harper, visibly delighted, reached out to hold Benjamin's arm, softly saying, "Benjamin, thank you."

"Is saying thank you all you'll do?"

"After I pass this hurdle, I'll cook you a meal as a token of appreciation?"

Benjamin, his tone gentle, replied, "No need for a meal. You're pregnant now, and I don't want you to overexert yourself. Just treat me a bit nicer, be a bit more obedient, and consider that as your thanks, alright?"

His voice was steady, mindful of Curtis' presence.

Harper instinctively lowered her head, cheeks slightly flushed, murmuring, "I'm not a child."

Benjamin chuckled, "Indeed, you're not a child, but sometimes harder to please than one."

Harper pondered, "What?

Benjamin squinted with a hint of coldness on his expression.

Unaware of his tone, Harper replied, "Of course. If he perceives me differently based on what you said, he might think I have a bad temper. How will I face him in the future?"

Benjamin stated, "You're my wife. Let him think what he wants."

Harper fell silent, lips pressed together, lost in thought.

His words echoed in her mind, "You're my wife."

She thought, "Does he realize what he's saying? What does it really mean?"
