Chapter 368 Confrontation

"Otherwise, watching her bully you?"

"Benjamin, you're really kind," Harper said with a smile.

Benjamin snorted lightly, "Now you think I'm kind?"

Harper's smile deepened. She didn't respond to that question. Instead, she said earnestly, "Thank you."

Benjamin didn't reply. He wasn't too keen on hearing those words anyway.

He simply said, "You performed well on the spot today. Your advancement in the preliminary round had nothing to do with me. It's entirely your own ability. I wasn't involved with the judges at all, so your victory was clean."

Harper fell silent at once.

Benjamin seemed to see through her mind. She had always been worried that her success might be linked to Benjamin in some way. After all, Harper had prepared for the worst.

Harper remained silent for several seconds, then nodded. "Hmm."

Benjamin glanced at her just as the traffic light turned green. He released his hand from hers, gripping the steering wheel earnestly.

He dropped her off at the company and didn't accompany her inside. Benjamin knew she had matters to attend to, and it wasn't his place to intervene.

Harper stepped out of the elevator into the office. Sophia and the others, along with the livestream content, had already informed Frank that someone had temporarily stolen Harper's design.

So, as soon as Harper returned, she went straight to find Frank, making sure to close the office door behind her.

Even before Harper could say anything, Frank immediately spoke up. "Sorry, Harper. I had no idea Michelle would do something like this. I've already called her and asked her to come over immediately."

Ever since he had laid hands on Michelle last time, she had developed a fear of Frank. Moreover, because of the things only the two of them knew about privately, Michelle felt like she was starting to recognize Frank no longer. So she didn't dare to go against him too much. "Frank..."

Frank asked, "Michelle, did you steal Harper's design and give it to Louisa?"

Michelle was momentarily taken aback, then immediately responded, "Frank, did you call me here just to interrogate me about this? Is it because of her? Did she tell you to do this?"

Michelle pointed at Harper, her face full of displeasure. "Harper, what do you mean? Are you deliberately trying to turn me against my brother? Do you have any evidence to prove that I did it? If not, then don't spread rumors."

"Is Louisa your friend, right? Her entry design was mine. So besides you, who else could it be?" Harper stared at her expressionlessly.

Michelle laughed. "Yes, she's my friend. But what evidence do you have to prove that her entry design was yours? Aren't you just twisting the truth out of jealousy?"

"I don't even know her, why would I be jealous of her?" Harper felt both helpless and amused.
