Chapter 485 Doubts

Harper was shocked. She asked, "Lauren is with your brother?"

"Of course not," Michelle immediately denied.

Harper asked again, "Then what do you mean?"

"I just don't want her to get too close to my brother. I don't want to see any contact between them." Michelle subtly became excited. She didn't want Frank to fall for another woman, especially after Harper, who had been enough of a headache for her. She didn't want a repeat of that.

But she also didn't want to intervene directly because she didn't want to upset Frank. So Harper was the best choice.

When Harper got Lauren away from Frank, she would be the winner.

Michelle couldn't help but smile. She said, "Harper, it's simple. You just need to tell my brother that you don't like Lauren and prefer he keeps his distance from her. He will listen to you, right?"

Harper remained solemn and frowned. Her voice softened. "Are you getting the wrong idea? Lauren is just a friend to him, not what you imagine."

"If they're simply friends, why do they consistently dine together alone? If it's just friendship, why does he exclusively label her as a colleague in our conversations? What possible collaboration could there be between him and Lauren?"

Michelle's emotions were always uncontrollable when it came to matters concerning Frank.

She didn't want to waste any more time, so she asked Harper, "Are you going to do it or not?"

"Michelle, all I can tell you is you might be looking in the wrong direction. Your brother could never have romantic feelings towards Lauren. They can never be together."

"Why are you so sure?"

"I can't tell you the reason, but I'm telling you the truth. Whether you believe it or not is up to you."

Harper held her phone, her expression slightly grim, and casually placed it on the coffee table.

She sighed, then looked at Annie. She said, "Michelle won't budge. She won't cooperate unless I get Lauren away from Frank."

Annie was curious. She asked, "Why is Frank still in touch with Lauren? He should have aversion towards her, shouldn't he?"

That was something Harper couldn't understand either.

Although Frank and Lauren didn't have direct or adversarial interactions, as her friend, he should have sided with her on matters involving Lauren. So, he shouldn't have any relationship with Lauren at all.

But Michelle insisted. Harper couldn't agree immediately. She needed to dispel some doubts in her heart. She wanted to see if Frank and Lauren were as Michelle described.

As for other matters, they could discuss them after this issue was cleared up.
