Benjamin smiled faintly as he listened to Paul's ridicule. "Maybe I came back to help you prune the branches."

"Humph! I can't afford to hire you."

Paul's attitude toward him was not good.

"Well, you don't need to hire me. I came here on my own initiative."

Benjamin was not discouraged.

Benjamin watered the plant for Paul, and his attitude was very friendly, letting Paul say anything he wanted without refuting it.

After an hour of work, Paul asked indifferently, "Tell me, what's the matter?"

Benjamin smiled and said with a straight face, "Don't you miss Harper? How about letting her come back to stay with you these days?"

Paul didn't say anything and just glanced at him coldly.

It was as if he was saying, "What are you planning to do?"

Benjamin could see Paul's displeasure and asked in a low voice, "What's wrong? Don't you want to see Harper?"

"Just cut to the chase. What do you want?"

"Grandpa, how can you think of me like that? All I wanted was to fulfill your wish. If you don't want to see her, forget it. But you can't misunderstand me!"

"Humph!" Paul was still displeased.

But Benjamin maintained a sincere attitude all the time, and Paul had no choice but to believe him.

Paul said indifferently, "Do you want to send Harper here?"

It was not something she could decide. Benjamin couldn't suspect her just because of what others thought.

Besides, Harper married him voluntarily, not because of the coercion or calculation of Paul and Henry.

Benjamin didn't react much after hearing this, and he exuded a lazy aura, which made Paul ask unhappily, "What do you mean? Tell me exactly what you are thinking."

"Grandpa, why do you love Harper so much? You have been in the business world for so many years. I don't quite believe that you just like her unconditionally and without wanting anything in return."

He was straight to the point, trying to dig out Paul's real intention.

Paul almost picked up the crutch and hit Benjamin. He was so angry that his cloudy eyes didn't blink for a while.

Paul said coldly, "What do you mean? Do you think I treat her nicely because I have other purposes? Then have you forgotten that her grandfather helped me? If you must ask why I am good to her, it is probably because her grandfather is gone, and I want to return the favor to her."
