After lying down, they turned off the lights, but neither of them felt sleepy.

Harper asked proactively, "You've been here in Mayby for quite a while now. When are you going back?"

"Harper, you heartless person. Don't tell me you're trying to chase me away?"

Harper asked, "Has Anderson not contacted you?"

"He has. We chatted a couple of days ago. He's preparing to get engaged."

"Engaged?"

Harper said casually.

Annie echoed, "Yes, congratulations to him."

Then suddenly, both fell silent because they understood why each other said it.

They had dreamless sleep. The next morning, Harper was awakened by the phone ringing.

It was a call from the Martin Manor.

"Harper, it's me. Are you still not up?"

"Mom, good morning. I just woke up. Is there something wrong?"
