Mason only slept for three hours.

When he woke up, he was still tightly embracing Zoe. Her silk nightgown was slightly disheveled, revealing her shoulder in the soft morning light.

She was still in his arms.

Mason lowered his head, pressing his face against the nape of her neck. It was a comforting warmth.

After a tender moment, he got up.

In the morning, there was an important bidding meeting at the company that he had to attend.

Mason freshened up and changed into a new outfit. As he was knotting his tie, he walked back to the bedroom. Zoe was awake, sitting at the bedside in a daze. When she heard his footsteps, she looked up, and their eyes met.
