I cut him off, pulling off my mask.

His face turned pale, and he stammered, "Sophia… Olivia?"

"Olivia… Sophia, who the hell are you?"

I smiled, but it only made him shake harder. He forced out, "You can't kill me."

"You wouldn't dare. This is a society of law—ah!"

Without expression, I slashed his arm, and blood poured out.

He screamed in pain.

"Can't handle it already? This is just the beginning."

My smile in the dim light was eerily beautiful, like a flower blooming in hell.

"Back then, when Ashley beat my sister to a pulp, when Ethan spread rumors that drove her to jump, she suffered way more than this."

"You knew the truth, but for a bit of money, you forced her to kneel and apologize to her tormentors.

"Principal, my sister really needed your help back then.

"But now, I just want to send you to hell."

The principal's eyes widened, his whole body shaking violently.

"I raised you for years, and this is how you repay me?"

"You ungrateful brat. I should've let you die with your sister—"

Before he could finish, Lucas Taylor kicked him in the chest.

He let out a sharp scream, gasping for air, unable to say another word.

Like an old, beaten dog waiting to die.

But I put the knife away and efficiently stopped the bleeding.

He stared at me in terror, completely unable to figure out my intentions.

"You're right. I can't kill you."

"I need to repay your kindness for all the ‘mentorship' you gave me."

"Since you have diabetes, you don't need to eat anymore."

"I'll hook you up with two bags of glucose and three IV drips a day."

"That'll keep you alive just fine."

The principal's face turned ghostly pale.

He knew exactly how terrifying high blood sugar could be.

The IV would keep him conscious—aware of every moment as his organs rotted away from the inside.

Until he was nothing but a pile of decayed flesh.

Waiting for death was far crueler than dying.

This woman—she was a damn devil.

He screamed, completely hysterical.

"You sick, evil bitch! Why the hell didn't you just die back then?"

"Why didn't you just die?!"

I smiled, slow and chilling.

"You abusers are all alive and well—so tell me, why should I be the one to die?"

"If anyone belongs in hell, it's you."

I calmly adjusted the IV drip, turned on my heel, and walked toward the door.

"Sophia! Get back here—"

The door shut behind me.

His screams cut off.

No one cared.

At the corner of the hallway, I saw Daniel surrounded by a group of kids, handing out candy with a warm smile.

So different from the cold, ruthless Daniel I knew at work.

He genuinely liked kids. It showed in everything he did.

I watched in silence for a while before stepping forward.

"Daniel, I thought you left already."

He didn't answer right away.

His eyes flicked to the tiny red stains on the hem of my dress, his brows slightly furrowed.

"Is that… blood?"

I glanced down and replied calmly, "One of the kids had a nosebleed."

"Must've rubbed off on me."
