The hall still looked like a warzone after the departure of Shen Shixiu and Shen Qianan. Everyone started turning their attention to Shu Qing. “Ms. Shu, are you involved in the incident that Shen Shixiu mentioned earlier?”

“Are you the one who wrecked their marriage?”

“Ms. Shu…”

“Go away. They’re all just spouting nonsense.”

“The interview has ended. Thank you very much!” Shu Qing’s manager found the courage to step in after Shen Shixiu had left. “We’re calling it a day. Security!”

Under the protection of the guards, Shu Qing managed to leave the hall. Though the journalists were displeased with her response, none of them dared to pursue the matter.

Song Rongrong felt something was amiss and shoved the journalist aside. She stood in front of Shi Nuan and said, “She’s my friend who was kind enough to have accompanied me today. She has nothing to do with Shu Qing and Shen Qianan!”

“Really?” That journalist did not believe her words. At this time, all the journalists had begun to flock over and turn their attention to Shi Nuan. “Hey, we can all tell you look like Shen Qianan! How do you expect us to believe that you’re not related to them? Stop lying!”

“Lying? Nuan is not a celebrity and is from the Shen family. Why would she want to lie to you? You’re crazy!”

Song Rongrong yelled at the crowd, “All of you listen carefully! Nuan has nothing to do with Shen Qianan or Shu Qing. Now get out of our way, or you’ll be sorry!” Song Rongrong balled her hands into fists. Even though the threatening look on her face made her look ridiculous, she meant every word she said.

Su Yian, too, came over and stood beside Shi Nuan. “Are you all crazy? If you want news, go after celebrities like Shu Qing! Why do you target ordinary folks like us? Go away!”

“Miss, we just need you to clarify your relationship with Shu Qing…”

“I said get out of the way!”

After sending Shu Qing off, the manager came back and was shocked to see another round of commotion. The manager had thought that the journalists would have dispersed by now. Little did he expect them to begin targeting someone else.

They did not target any random person but the VIP he was assigned to take care of. The manager got the shock of his life. He brought a group of security guards over and quickly stopped the journalists from approaching. “I’m so sorry, Ms. Shi. I didn’t expect this to happen!”

Shi Nuan frowned and gave him a killer stare.

“I hope you can still put in some good words for me in front of Mr. Zhou… no, I mean Mr. Fu. I…” The journalists were surprised to see how lowly the manager acted in front of Shi Nuan.

A line formed between Shi Nuan’s brows. “Just get me out of here.”

“All right! Here you go, Ms. Shi. Come, ladies.”

The manager gave all the guards an eye signal, and they started pulling the journalists away.

The manager then led Shi Nuan to leave the hall through a special entrance.

While Shi Nuan and Song Rongrong were making their way to the special entrance, they heard an argument break out. Is that Shu Qing’s voice?

“What the hell is wrong with you all? Why was that woman there?”

“Nice to meet you. I’m Shi Nuan,” she responded with a grin. Yet, the moment Shu Qing heard this name, she became even more agitated. “It’s you!”

Shu Qing was dumbstruck, and her legs instantly turned wobbly. Had the manager not grab hold on time, she would have fallen. ”Go away, all of you! Stay away from me! Don’t come after me!”

Shu Qing shoved the manager to one side and sprinted away.

The manager shot a quick glance at Shi Nuan before hurrying to catch up with Shu Qing.

“What’s going on?” Song Rongrong got confused. She looked at Shi Nuan and asked, “Why do I feel like she…” What happened to Shu Qing? What happened to the idol I loved most?

“Nuan, she…”

“Why do I feel like the way Shu Qing looked at you was as she was looking at Shen Qianan? It was as if she had seen a ghost.” Su Yian knew it was inappropriate for her to make this remark, but being the only calm person there, she found Shu Qing’s reaction a little weird.

Shi Nuan’s heart sank, but she still tried to regain her composure.

She took a deep breath and said, “You two must be hungry, right? Come, let’s go and grab a bite!”
