Watching Stephen Collins storm back to his room with his phone in hand, I looked down and touched my stomach, feeling a chill of dread.

I wish I had been paranoid earlier and noticed something was off, so I could have left in time. Now, with the baby nine months along and about to be born, I start to regret it.

In the past, he was so obedient and doting that I trusted him completely. I became foolish and slow, ignoring all the signs.

A week ago, Stephen suddenly claimed my belly was too big and started sleeping in the guest room.
