He was of the 8 Echelon Obsidian ranking this being had 8 Boundaries under him, and the Obsidian title distinguished that had achieved at least 4 Boundary Layers in a majority of these 8 Boundaries.

At the least.

He and all others would remain in the <Obsidian> stage of Boundary Layers so long as they never reached the 6th Boundary Layer, where any being who brought a Boundary to such a height would be termed a 1 Echelon Crimson Existence!

But having an Aeonic Soul capable of taking any Concept of Extremity to the 6th Boundary Layer was exceedingly hard.

This staging was a demarcation of those who had become truly adept at using their Aeonic Soul, reaching a level of manipulation of Boundaries to alter the reality around them to an unimaginable extent.

It was common knowledge in the Vaults of Extremity that any Boundary could not be taken to the 6th Boundary Layer unless the existence trying to do so had their Aeonic Soul supported by 9 Boundaries that had all achieved the 5th Boundary Layer!

Their Aeonic Soul had to have been refined to a ridiculous level as only when it had the augmentations and boons of 9 different Boundaries at the 5th Boundary Layer did they have a chance to succeed in taking one of their Boundaries to the 6th Layer- an extremely high Aeonic Soul Value was just one requirement!

Normally.

But...there were always exceptions.

There were beings who put off any other Concepts and only focused on a single Boundary to bring towards Extremity.

Such beings had a high level of fanaticism towards their Concepts, and they defied set norms as they refined their Aeonic Soul with a single Boundary, spending countless years smashing towards the 6th Boundary Layer of their single concept as more often than not, they would never reach it.

But there were geniuses out there.

There were special existences born in unique conditions.

There were also a myriad of unknown treasures within the Vaults of Extremity that could change established norms.

Desiderius knew this.

He knew that before reaching the 6th Boundary Layer, the control existences had over their Aeonic Soul was elementary.

It was rough and without direction as only when one could utilize their Aeonic Soul with a great level of control and manipulate it in unfathomable ways...did the path towards the 6th Boundary Layer and above open up!

It was why so many other Layers were needed as support to refine and strengthen the Aeonic Soul!

Desiderius knew this, and it was why he was all the more surprised when the Ancestral Descendant known as Theseus called out <Plane Dissecting Sword>!

The sword this being held in his hands disappeared and merged into his body.

Truthfully, it merged with his Aeonic Soul.

Because from this point onward, this being would never need an external weapon to express the Boundary of the Sword!
