One of the elders from the branch family nearby coughed, perhaps realizing how harsh the conversation was becoming. Trying to case the tension, he forced a polite smile and said, “Orion, Ramona suggests sending you abroad for further studies. You can take a break for now. When you return, you’ll still have a place in the company.” 

But when Orion returned, his position might be nothing more than that of a regular employee. 

A cold glint flashed in Orion’s eyes. His assets had long surpassed those of Dros Group. He owned countless companies, and the money from Droses was insignificant to him. 

But Orion would never be forced out. 

How laughable! 

He lifted his gaze, locking eyes with his grandfather. “Ramona, we should at least be clear about the facts before everyone.” 

He held full control over his shares–61 percent of the major stake was in his hands. 

If they wanted him gone, they would need more than empty threats. 

Ramona stared back, his voice cold as he spoke, “The ten percent of shares you hold were originally entrusted to you. I could easily revoke that trust at any time. Orion, our family will not raise an ingrate.” 

He continued, pressing harder, “Look at the state of the company. It’s been on the brink of disaster repeatedly. How will you explain the disappearance of 300 billion overnight to the other shareholders?” 

–Ramona was shamelessly pushing the blame for the wrongs he had committed, with Hannah, onto Orion. 

He didn’t care about his dignity; he needed Orion to take the fall. He aimed to seize control definitively. 

Orion listened to his declaration, then let out a cold laugh and dismissed Ramona with a contemptuous glance. 

Ramona had once been a powerful figure, but now he was resorting to such underhanded tactics to bring down his own grandson. 

Orion scanned the room. Kaveh and his father weren’t present, proving they were the rare smart ones in the family, reading the situation well. This was good. 

“Explain? To whom should I explain myself? Do you believe you can dismiss me without the support of two–thirds of the shareholders? It won’t be that easy. 

“Orion, you’ve put the company’s interests aside for a woman. What rights do you have to sit here any longer?” Ramona sneered. 

“The decision to dismiss you is unanimous. As for the shareholders, everyone here agrees that I will temporarily take full control of the company.” 

Ramona raised his chin, prideful and self–assured. 

There was no way he would be sitting there without being completely confident of his victory.

Orion cast a casual glance around the room, his eyes flashing with a chilling light.

Ramona clapped his hands, and the door to the meeting room opened. 

Theresa and Hannah, who had gone abroad for quite some time, appeared before everyone. 

Everyone was momentarily stunned. 

Theresa immediately burst into tears and ran to Ramona. 

“Ramona, you have to stand by me! Orion sent me away, and now he’s abandoned this family. He doesn’t care about our family at all. Even though he’s my son, I can’t take it anymore!” 

Theresa, Orion’s biological mother, stepped forward to criticize him. This made everyone feel that Orion might not even be able to save himself.
