Sophie reacted at last, showing a slightly startled look before breaking out into a happy smile.

Yannick smiled back at her. "Truly powerful people will make a name for themselves no matter where they go. I hope you'll be able to put in a good word to him for me, Miss Horlay."

"I'll do that when I have a chance," nodded Sophie.

Yannick nodded profusely. "Alright, then. You can have the rest of the day off. I'll announce your new position to everyone tomorrow, and you can start work as head of telecommunications tomorrow."

Sophie nodded, and Yannick got up to walk her out of his office.

Sophie was brought to her own room after that, which was decorated even more lavishly than in a five-star hotel.

Smith returned a smile and gave Wilbur a passing glance.

"He's a spy from Dasha!" Smith shouted all of a sudden. The two bodyguards behind him rushed over at once, surrounding Wilbur from both sides.
