Wilbur merely smiled. "Sure. Tell your Chief-of-Staff Dillon and President Brandon that my banquet with them is going to have to be delayed, then."

"What?" Caesar thought that his ears were deceiving him, staring at Wilbur in shock.

Wilbur said nothing, taking a drag of his cigarette.

He did not appear to be joking, and Caesar fell deep into thought.

Wilbur's words seemed ridiculous, but if they happened to be true… Caesar would be as good as dead.

"Mister Caesar, Mister Penn is the president's guest of honor. The president and I will be in Morburn by tonight, and hold a banquet just for Mister Penn. He is not to be questioned for any of his actions and must be given an answer that he is satisfied with. I'm sure you know you can't afford the consequences of causing a rift between him and the president, right?"

Dillon's tone was not heavy, but the underlying message left Caesar in astounding shock.

The president was… asking for him to care for Wilbur, and even throwing a whole banquet for him.
