Skyler and Weston felt their hearts drop into a pit. It was clear that the flame serpent's powers were all fire-based, and none of them would be able to survive an attack of the flames from its mouth.

Within just a few minutes, the flame serpent seemed to realize that it was fighting a losing battle. It stumbled over ten meters backward, retching and hissing. Its body was covered in injuries, and it seemed to be exhausted too.

Deafening sounds rang through the air as the flame serpent's body continued to writhe against the ground.

It was not long before the flame serpent's pupils rolled back, and it went limp.
