Wilbur turned his head and saw an elderly man. The elderly man was standing in the living room, he had a black suit and a top hat.

There was a butler behind him, holding a rectangular box in his hands.

Wilbur glanced at the box and scoffed coldly. He loosened his grip, and the crumbled bricks and dirt fell to the floor.

The unseen pressure faded, and Michelle could finally catch her breath. She seemed a mess.

Wilbur stood and looked downstairs. The elderly man said politely, "Mister Penn, it's inconvenient for me. May you please come down so we can talk?"

Wilbur was silent for a moment. He walked downstairs slowly, and the flame serpent nudged against him. Wilbur sent it back to the demiplane, then stood in front of the elderly man.

The elderly man removed his hat to show his gratitude. Then, he said, "I'm Sterling Jenkins. The kid didn't know any better. I apologize on her behalf for offending you, sir."

Sterling bowed deeply at Wilbur.

Wilbur frowned and asked, "Are you the Chairman of Pentagon Corp?"

"I'm only an old person in front of you, sir," said Sterling humbly.

Michelle walked over and stood obediently behind her father.

Wilbur looked at them and said slowly, "It looks like you're not confident in your subordinates. Did you know they would be defeated?"

Sterling said, "This is the Crystal Bone. I led exploration teams on expeditions when I was a young man and stumbled upon it by chance. It was found to contain tremendous energy. Even the Sanctuary level cultivators around me couldn't determine its origin. However, they were certain it plays an extremely important role for cultivators. One's cultivation could be elevated to another level by absorbing its power."

"You're right. It does contain tremendous energy," said Wilbur slowly.

Sterling said, "So I kept it. I intend to use it when a cultivator appears in our family. Unfortunately, be it fate or whatever reason, the Jenkins has never produced a cultivator, despite holding massive wealth. It's quite a shame."

"Do you plan to use it as a trade?" asked Wilbur.

Sterling shook his head and said, "Not exactly. I want to use it to befriend you, sir. As for Michelle, you can let her make amends with her life if you find her actions to be unforgivable. There's no need for you to kill her yourself."

Wilbur chuckled and looked at Michelle.

Michelle seemed to have accepted her fate at that point. She bowed deeply at Wilbur without saying a word.

Wilbur looked at the Crystal Bone once more.
