Wilbur frowned, looking at Faye.

Faye nodded profusely. "This is a huge deal of great importance. I support it."

"Alright, then." Wilbur got to his feet. "I'll have Shepard come over, and he'll be your bodyguard starting from now."

Faye smiled warmly.

Shepard was at the Super Sanctuary level, and it was honestly a bit of a waste for him to be a bodyguard.

Of course, Wilbur had only done this out of care for Faye, and this warmed her heart greatly.

Wilbur took out his phone to make a call, and Shepard got here not long after.

Wilbur spoke to him briefly, and Shepard nodded before sitting down to stay.

Wilbur and Faron left the hospital, driving to an apartment.

The space was very small, with a single room. The door opened to the sight of a young man around Faron's age.

The young man had a tall nose, on top of which sat a pair of black hipster glasses. He radiated a studious charm.

Faron introduced Wilbur to Shay Ketter, a middle school classmate of Faron's.

The three of them sat down, and Shay fixed Wilbur with a polite but firm stare. "This is the guy you were talking about?" he asked.

"I'm ready for the worst going into this, even if I have to die. What about you, though? Do you have the courage to sacrifice yourself?" Shay asked coldly.

Wilbur smiled. "What a coincidence it must be that I just happened to witness the perfect definition of courage and sacrifice just a few days ago. I think I can take on the challenge for sure, and make sure it's a success."

"And how are you supposed to do that? Bullshitting your way to success?" Shay said mockingly.

Faron said at once, "Don't be rude, Shay. This guy's a hero of mine, and I respect him greatly."

"I'll respect him when I think he's capable enough to take on this plan," Shay retorted at once.

Wilbur smiled. The next second, a shocking change happened on his face.

Shay was struck dumb at the sight of it.
