"Barney?"

"That's right. Damon's already dead, and you brought about his demise. Barney's the only one still alive. Once you kill him, Greensource Corp will disappear for good."

Wilbur stared at Paul in disbelief. "Are you saying the same thing as Ralph said, Mister Paul?"

"No, it's not the same," said Paul. "Ralph will meet his own fate. I just hope you know that the affairs of the Scarlet Leaf Faction and the Green Leaf Faction are internal affairs of Cametra. You were the only survivor out of all the elites from the seven countries, and you represent Dasha as well. Light Valley does not want to show itself yet, so I hope that you can agree to put on an act with us. Of course, I promise you that Light Valley won't harm Dasha in the slightest. We just want you to keep a secret for us."

Wilbur frowned. "What is it? Does Light Valley want to take Greensource's place and carry on?"

"No, Mister Penn. I hope you know that Light Valley is capable of doing anything they want on their own. The butler stopping the Dark Messenger from doing anything to you was considered a gesture of goodwill on our behalf to indicate our stance. We'd like to be friends with you, Mister Penn."

Wilbur flushed in the face. He finally understood that Paul had been a member of Light Valley all along, and Light Valley was rather displeased with the rift between the two factions. That was why they had chosen to settle the rift internally. Greensource Corp was going to disappear, and Light Valley would still remain unknown.

Kyra's words made Wilbur's chest lurch. He turned around and saw Tina's mother turned away as well. Something seemed to have happened with them just now, and Wilbur nodded wordlessly before heading downstairs.

Tina followed behind Wilbur as he got into the car. She was about to open the door after him, but Wilbur had locked the door. Tina rapped on the window sharply. "Open the door, Wilbur. Let me go with you."

Wilbur wound the window down. "No, Tina. It's far too dangerous this time. Let me go alone. You should get some rest. I'll come back tomorrow with Demetra."

Wilbur smiled at Tina and drove off toward Greensource Corp. He thought about Kyra's words on the way. Maybe Tina's mother had seen his battle against Damon, who had been so powerful that the slightest slip-up in a battle against him would be a huge risk.
