"If you kill me today, they'll just control you like they did me."
Wilbur understood Barney's lament. "No, Mister Barney. I'm not the same as you. You're from Greensource Corp, but I'm not."
"Yes, we're different."
Barney's fork stopped in mid-air. His mood seemed to have soured, and he set the fork down. "Fine. Don't blame me for going all out on them, then."
"I can let Demetra go, but someone needs to die before me."
"You want me to kill someone for you?"
"Precisely."
"Who?"
"Ralph."
"Ralph?" Wilbur stared at Barney in shock, who looked eerily calm then. "Yes, Ralph. I would have never joined Greensource Corp if it hadn't been for him. He's put me through so much shit in the past years. If they're going to kill me, I need to make sure Ralph dies before my eyes. That's the only way I'll get my revenge."
"Alright, I'll do it. I'll go and kill Ralph right this second."
Wilbur got up to leave, but Barney piped up again. "Wait, hold on. I've changed my mind."
"What, you don't want to kill Ralph anymore?"
"No, I want you to bring him here so I can kill him myself. That's the only way I'll get my justice."
The doors of the main entrance swung open not long after, and Ralph waved a hand at Wilbur. "Come in. It's cold outside. Let's talk somewhere warmer."
"Sure."
Wilbur got out of the car and walked into the headquarters calmly. Ralph closed the door and led Wilbur to the lab where he continued on his experiments while chatting with Wilbur.
"Is there something you wanted to talk to me about?"
Wilbur furrowed his brows at Ralph, who was keeping himself busy. Could he have guessed wrongly? To Wilbur, both factions had planted spies of their own in the other faction. Ralph should know about Wilbur going to look for Barney by now.
However, it seemed now like Ralph did not know about anything. There were only two possibilities for this, one of them being that Ralph did not know about this and the other being that Ralph was pretending to buy himself time.
"Oh, Mister Paul told me to swing by and ask you if there was anyone else other than Damon and Barney who needed to be taken care of."
