"Of course. I'm a pretty pragmatic man. I'm willing to betray Victor if you can give me better benefits."

Wilbur looked at Ariel, finding him rather ridiculous as he asked, "Well, how much money do you want?"

Ariel put up a finger. "One hundred million dollars!"

Right as Ariel said those words, an arrow pierced through his chest, leaving a hole where blood gushed out. Ariel looked down at the wound on his chest, trembling all over as he turned around shakily.

Victor stood behind him holding a long silver bow, staring at Ariel coldly as he said, "No one betrays me, Ariel. Since you could not complete the mission I gave you, you shall die in agony."

The last of the light in Ariel's eyes disappeared as they stayed on Victor before collapsing to the ground lifelessly.

Wilbur looked over at Victor. "Are you trying to meddle in the Night Demon stuff too, General Victor?"

A venomous smile appeared on Victor's face. "It's such a shame, Wilbur Penn. I thought you would contract the Night Demon virus and eventually fall under my control, but you were lucky enough to escape. It's a pity you won't be as lucky this time, though."

Just then, Wilbur saw a dozen Night Demons charge over from outside the parking lot. They looked like zombies, and Victor saw the expression on Wilbur's face shift.

Victor barked out a laugh. "You didn't expect this, did you, Wilbur Penn? You might have killed Patrick, but you still couldn't stop the Night Demons from coming."

Wilbur soared into the air then, spreading his arms. The Light Gloves on his hands let off a brilliant glow, as Wilbur's own body began to emit a faint glow that kept growing stronger.

Once the ball of light was big enough, Wilbur removed himself from it and shoved it into the sky as he looked down at Victor.

"You're quite the hero, aren't you? I thought you would have abandoned these townsfolk for your own sake, but it seems like you do indeed have a kind soul. It's a pity kindness isn't going to get you out of the way of this shot."

Victor pulled on the bow, with the arrow being a blood-red color this time. A strange energy came rushing over, and Wilbur gasped upon recognizing it.

This was the special power of one of the evil gods, the Blood God! Wilbur finally realized that Victor and Patrick had both become puppets of the Blood God.

The Blood God was the real target that Wilbur should be going after!
