If the town was able to get through this tragedy, the townsfolk would come out stronger and their luck would improve. However, if they could not get through the tragedy, they would suffer a terrible fate.

In an attempt to mitigate the tragedy, the entire town had pooled together money to get the help of Lord Ourea, a statue of the Mountain God.

Wilbur was confused as to what this tragedy coming for Greenpeak Town could be. Was it the Night Demon? If the tragedy to befall upon the town was the fifth Night Demon, Wilbur was going to stay here to help the townsfolk get rid of it.

Pain shot through his chest, and Wilbur coughed up a mouthful of blood. He began to sway on his feet, eventually slumping helplessly to the ground.

Electricity jolted through his body, and Wilbur was shocked to discover that he had lost control over his own body. Black miasma radiated out of him as the Dark Lord's aura grew stronger over time. Just then, the people saw Wilbur sprawled out on the ground and looked at him strangely.

"What does he think he's doing?"

"Putting up an act in front of the Mountain God Temple and trying to gain our sympathy with a bit of red dye?"

'What are you doing, Dark Lord?' Wilbur retorted.

"Argh!"

Wilbur's chest throbbed violently with pain, causing him to promptly pass out. His dreams were filled with screams while he was unconscious before everything went quiet. It was unclear how long had passed when Wilbur finally awoke to find that he was sitting cross-legged in the Mountain God Temple. Outside, rain poured down relentlessly on the streets of Greenpeak Town.

Wilbur struggled to get to his feet, holding back the pain in his chest. He stumbled to the door and saw that amidst the heavy rain, the streets of Greenpeak Town were lined with dead bodies.

The town was silent apart from the relentless downpour. Wilbur trembled from head to toe, shaking his head vigorously. "No… I couldn't have killed them! It can't be, I didn't do it!"
