Wilbur's gaze flashed. "Say goodbye to this world, Saber Farring!"

He flicked his wrist sharply, and the enormous palm clenched tightly into a fist. Saber's body exploded into small particles that drifted off into the wind.

Just then, a series of footsteps could be heard. Steward Horne grabbed Wilbur by the wrist, urging, "Their men are here, let's go quickly!"

Both of them raced through the woods as the soldiers chased after them, both on the ground and in the sky as they shouted for the pair to stop. The soldiers were unable to catch up to Wilbur and Steward Horne, but the distance between both parties was quite short.

The two men ran for their lives in the snow, and Steward Horne turned around. Pain shot through his chest all of a sudden, and he spat out a mouthful of blood.

The pair were forced to stop, and Steward Horne let go of Wilbur's wrist. "You go on ahead. I can't run any further. They'll catch up to us soon. I'll just accept my fate."

Wilbur looked around. "I know a place nearby. We'll be able to hide from the soldiers once we get there, but whether we survive or not is another story. Come on, we haven't got much time."

Wilbur yanked Steward Horne along, and the two men continued running through the woods for a bit until they reached a huge tree spanning around a few dozen meters. There was a hole in the tree, which Wilbur shoved Steward Horne into before climbing after him.

"What are we going to do now, sir? Should we go inside?"

"No, there's no need for that. Block the hole up with the snow. Firetree Pythons have excellent noses. This one will smell those two once the air in there grows denser with their scent, and it'll kill them for sure."

"Yes, sir."

The soldiers carried out their order and plugged up the entrance of the hole in the tree before retreating a few dozen meters away to observe the situation.
