The driver was cunning. He had been roaming across Seechertown for years and knew the people who came out from the golf course were rich.

The driver noticed his usual trick was not working, so he was about to act like a gangster on him. It was one of his tricks too.

Nancy, who was about to go upstairs, noticed something was wrong, so she hurriedly turned back. Wilbur got out of the car.

Nancy asked, "What's going on?"

"This guy is trying to scam me by adjusting the meter. He's also trying to threaten me," said Wilbur while laughing.

He thought about it and said slowly, "Forget it. I won't argue with you. I'll pay you three hundred dollars."

Wilbur was about to make the transfer, but the driver sneered and said, "You wasted my time, and it affects my business. It's five hundred dollars now."

"Don't push it." Nancy instantly tried to argue. The few hundred dollars did not matter, but the driver was driving them crazy.
